Your VAT identification number (btw-nummer) is the unique number the Tax Authority assigns you for VAT purposes. For sole traders it takes the form NL + BSN + B01; BVs receive a separate number. You must include your VAT number on every invoice you send. For intra-Community supplies, verify your EU customer's number via the VIES system.
