Record-keeping obligation

As an entrepreneur you are legally required to keep proper accounting records of all income and expenditure. Your records must be organized so that a tax inspector can quickly gain insight into your finances. The retention period is generally seven years, or ten years for real estate-related records. Digital storage is permitted but ensure regular backups and permanent accessibility.
