Liquidity

Liquidity refers to a business's ability to meet its short-term payment obligations. A business can be profitable but still face liquidity problems if invoices are paid late or large stock is held. The current ratio is calculated by dividing current assets by current liabilities. A ratio above 1 means you have enough to cover short-term debts.
