The energy investment allowance (EIA) is an extra tax deduction for entrepreneurs who invest in energy-efficient assets listed on the Energy List published by RVO. On top of normal depreciation, you may deduct an additional percentage of the investment from your profit. This incentivizes sustainable investments such as heat pumps and energy-efficient machinery. Register the investment with RVO no later than three months after signing the investment agreement.
